A Bit on Books

I would say I’m an avid reader and am always looking for the next book to read so I figured, why not compile the books I’ve read for the next person to get some inspiration.

Welcome to the book series. (Can you tell I love a series?).

My biggest challenge when searching for a new book to read is avoiding the popular books. By popular books, I mean the once BookTok is forcing down your throat. A book that grows in popularity organically is fine, but something that is already a celebrity book club book is not organic by my standards. I want to get my recommendations from friends and by browsing the rows of the library, not something contrived by big media.

Through this series, I plan to recap the book I just read and share what I’m reading next. I hope to create a community of book lovers that are looking for hidden gems and a place for discussion of the books they love, or hate, or fall somewhere in between.
