What I Would Spend Money on in Edinburgh
The top Three excursions I would spend money on again in Edinburgh….
The Scotch Whiskey Experience
Multiple price points depending on interest in Scotch
Immersive experience
Wholistic overview of the history of Scotch and modern making practices
The Edinburgh Castle
The history cannot be beat
Some of the best views of the city
The Palace of Holyrood House
An active, working palace… meaning royal events take place here regularly
Again, the history - where Mary Queen of Scots met her demise
So many exhibits within the palace- you really get your bang for your buck
… and the one I would not.
The Real King Mary's Close
Although the history part is really cool… you could just as easily look it up online
Dark, cramped and lots of walking with stairs - not for the faint of heart, or non-athletically inclined
There are so many things to do in Edinburgh it's sometimes hard to choose where to spend your money. Of course, everything is subjective to personal preference but if I were planning a trip to Edinburgh again these are the three excursion/ activities I would spend my money on again and the one I would not.
The upside to Edinburgh is the number of things you can do for free; you could schedule a whole trip without having to pay for extra attraction. I would say a trip to Edinburgh would not be complete without these three activities, but everyone travels in their own way! I'll let you decide! Let me know what activities you check out… where you would go again and why!
